A personal project that I worked on with Emily Stein, 'Imaginary Friends' explores the way that character and personality are perceived. As we twisted the balloons to form animals, each one came to life and took on it's own unique character. It became easy to imagine life stories, make judgements and even provoke feeling, simply from looking at them. Where do these perceptions come from, and do we all see the same things?
